1)Right click on the Google Talk shortcut from start menu.
2)click on Properties.
3)Go to Shortcut tab on Properties window.
4)On the Target textbox, add in the /nomutex at the end of the line so that it looks like below (or you can simply copy and paste the below syntax and replace the original).
“c:\program files\google\google talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex
5)Click on OK and thats it.
Hi thanks for this, it was just what I was looking for. However I got to the end of your instructions fine, but still couldn't launch another instance of Gtalk,if I click on the shortcut to launch Gtalk again I just get the existing open Gtalk instance, not a new one to sign into. Could you add a couple more steps after where you finished off to say what you do after you've changed the properties? Thanks!
